Privacy Policy

TripKeeps is designed as a private travel map and keepsake shelf. This policy explains what information we may collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Depending on how you use TripKeeps, you may choose to save travel records such as places visited, places you want to go, bucket-list items, board cards, dates, notes, photos, and keepsakes unlocked in the app.

If you contact us, join a mailing list, or request support, we may collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message.

How We Use Information

• To provide and improve TripKeeps features, including maps, bucket lists, boards, photos, keepsakes, and planning tools.
• To respond to support requests and send product updates you asked to receive.
• To process purchases, restore paid access, and manage TripKeeps Pro entitlements.
• To protect TripKeeps, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Local Data and Sync

TripKeeps is local-first and does not require a TripKeeps account, custom backend, social profile, or public sharing service. Travel records you create in the app, including places, bucket-list items, inspirations, boards, notes, photo references, and keepsake records, are stored on your device using Apple app storage.

Photos you add are stored by the app on your device. TripKeeps does not run its own cloud sync service for these records or photos. If you enable iCloud device backup for your device, Apple may include TripKeeps app data in your normal encrypted device backup according to your Apple and iCloud settings.

Photos and Notes

Photos and notes can be personal. TripKeeps should only access photos or media when you grant permission or choose content to add. You can manage app permissions through your device settings.

Link Previews

If you save a web link as an inspiration, TripKeeps may contact that website or a supported preview provider, such as TikTok or YouTube, to fetch title, image, and source metadata for the preview. TripKeeps uses that response to help you recognize the saved link inside your private archive.

Device Features

TripKeeps uses Apple’s photo picker for images you choose to add and platform storage for your local archive. It does not request your device location or contacts, and it does not send your travel archive to a TripKeeps server.

Third-Party Services

TripKeeps uses Apple services for App Store distribution, in-app purchases, and device backup features you enable. TripKeeps also uses RevenueCat to manage purchase status and TripKeeps Pro entitlements. RevenueCat processes an anonymous app user identifier, purchase history, product identifiers, entitlement status, and related transaction information for purchase validation, fraud prevention, paid access, and purchase analytics. Apple may send purchase and refund updates directly to RevenueCat. TripKeeps does not send your travel notes, places, bucket-list items, boards, or photos to RevenueCat.

The TripKeeps website uses Cloudflare hosting. Hosting providers may process technical request information, such as IP addresses and browser information, to serve and protect the website. Support email uses email infrastructure providers. These providers process information according to their own privacy terms.

Data Retention

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law. Local app data may remain on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.

Your Choices

• You can update or delete travel records inside the app when those controls are available.
• You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in the email or by contacting us.
• You can manage device permissions and device backup through your Apple device settings.

Children

TripKeeps is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as TripKeeps evolves. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice through the app, website, or email.
